FAQs
Is this a race?
No. The Cache Valley Century is a fully supported bicycle tour, not a race. Nobody is timed and there are no results or placings - the staggered hard starts are simply how we organize riders at the start line. Ride at whatever pace you enjoy.
What time do I start, and where?
The venue at 160 W 100 S in Richmond opens at 5:30 a.m. Hard starts are 6:30 a.m. for the 100-mile, 6:35 a.m. for the 64-mile, and 6:40 a.m. for the 36-mile. A rolling start stays open until 7:15 a.m., so you can roll out any time before then. Parking maps and final event information are emailed to registered riders the week of the event.
What is included with my registration?
Fully stocked rest stops in Preston, Weston, Cornish and Newton - two on the 36-mile route, four on the 64-mile, and five on the 100-mile. Support vehicles on all three routes, bike mechanics at most rest stops, lunch waiting for you at the finish line, and a rider prize to take home. There is no cutoff time: our support vehicles stay out until the last rider is in. Proceeds support Common Ground Outdoor Adventures.
Can I ride an e-bike?
Pedal-assist e-bikes are welcome on the 36-mile route. The 64-mile and 100-mile routes are for traditional bicycles.
Can I get a refund or transfer my registration?
Registrations are non-refundable and cannot be transferred to another rider or to another year.
